Abstract

The purpose of this research is to see the correlation between the work life balance and the job satisfaction on the employees of PT. Latexindo Toba Perkasa Binjai. The population of this research are the employees of PT. Latexindo Toba Perkasa Binjai, the amount of the population are 845 people, and the sample are 120 people, the sampling technique that used in this research is purposive sampling. The research method that used is quantitative methods. The correlation of the data uses work life balance scale and a job satisfaction scale which is measured of the data by using a likert scale. The data analysis technique that used is the Product Moment Correlation technique. The results of this research show the significance value of the correlation p = 0.000 0.05, it means there is a positive correlation between the work life balance and the job satisfaction on the employees of PT. Latexindo Toba Perkasa Binjai, with a determinant coefficient (r2) 0.473 or 47.3%. In other words, the hypothesis is accepted. The job satisfaction is classified as moderate leading to low (empirical mean = 74.21 hypothetical mean = 75 where the difference is more than SD = 22.198), and for work life balance is classified as moderate leading to low (empirical mean = 96.83 hypothetical mean = 105 where the difference is more than SD = 20,797).

Abstract

This study aims to see the negative correlation between self-control and aggressive behavior in adolescents in Padang Bulan Village. The method used in this research is quantitative method. The research subjects used were 100 adolescents aged 12-14 years. The sampling technique used in this research is the purposive sampling technique. The hypothesis proposed in this study is that there is a negative correlation between self-control and adolescent aggressive behavior with the assumption that the higher the self-control, the lower the aggressive behavior. Conversely, the lower the self-control, the higher the aggressive behavior. This study uses a Likert scale to measure the variables of self-control and aggressive behavior. In this study, the data analysis technique used is the Pearson Product Moment Correlation using the SPSS version 25.00 application. Based on the results of the analysis of the data obtained, it shows that there is a negative correlation between self-control and aggressive behavior with a correlation coefficient of -0.672 (rxy = -0.672; P = 0.000). Self-control has an effect of 45.1% on aggressive behavior.

Abstract

This study aims to see the correlation between workload and work stress on the staff of the Class I Penitentiary in Medan. The population of this study were all employees of the Class I Correctional Center in Medan, amounting to 142 employees, and the sample in this study amounted to 43 employees at the Class I Correctional Center in Medan. The sampling technique used was Random Sampling. This research method uses quantitative methods. Collecting data using a workload scale and a work stress scale measured using a Likert scale. The data analysis technique uses the Product Moment Correlation technique. Where the results of the study show a significant value with a correlation of p = 0.000 0.05, meaning that there is a positive relationship between workload and work stress on the staff of the Class I Correctional Center in Medan, with a determinant coefficient (r2) of 0.328 or 26.3%. In other words, the hypothesis can be accepted. The workload variable is classified as high (empirical mean = 73.40 and hypothetical mean = 55 where the difference is more than SD = 11,729), and for the work stress variable is high with (empirical mean = 94.30 and hypothetical mean = 67 ,5 where the difference is more than SD=8.921).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the correlation between social support and job burnout on employees of the production division of PT. Tirta Sibayakindo. This study uses quantitative research methods that are correlational. The sample used in this study were employees of PT. Tirta Sibayakindo as many as 35 people. The technique used by the researcher is purposive sampling. Work Fatigue scale which is based on the characteristics of work fatigue according to Budiono, et al, 2003, namely: Feelings of sluggishness, sleepiness and dizziness, Inability to concentrate, Decreased level of alertness, Poor and slow perception, Decreased passion for work, Decreased physical and spiritual performance. The social support scale in this study was taken based on the aspects of social support according to Canava and Dolan (in Tarmidi and Rambe, 2010): Emotional Support, Appreciation Support, Instrumental Support, Information Support, and Social Network Support. Based on the calculation of product moment correlation analysis, it can be seen that there is a negative relationship between social support and work fatigue. This result is evidenced by the correlation coefficient rxy = -0.355, with significant p = 0.018 0.05. The determinant coefficient (r2 r2 = 0.126. This shows that social support affects work fatigue by 12.60% on work fatigue. Based on the results of the empirical and hypothetical average values, it can be concluded that the received social support tends to be low and the work fatigue received tends to be high.

Abstract

This article aims to determine the correlation between self-confidence and smoking behavior of students at SMAN 5 Medan. The problem is that there is a negative relationship between the relationship between self-confidence and smoking behavior at SMAN 5 Medan. The sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling with a sample of 60 people. The data collected using a Likert scale through a self-confidence scale consisting of aspects of self-confidence according to Lauster (2014) namely self-confidence, optimism, objective, responsible, rational and realistic, also using a smoking behavior scale which is based on theory. Sarafino is modeling, peer pressure, smoker image and personal character. And analyzed quantitatively with the technique of production moment correlation. This study concludes that there is a negative relationship between self-confidence and smoking behavior. This result is evidenced by the correlation coefficient Rxy = 0.384, p = 0.000 means p 0.010. The results are based on the calculation of the Hypothetical and empirical mean value, it is known that SD = 12,648. The hypothetical self-confidence is 45.00 and the empirical mean is 52.934 is categorized as moderate and for smoking behavior SD = 10.352, where the hypothetical is 60.00 and the empirical mean is 84,467 is high. Based on the results of the study, the weight of the effective contribution of X to Y was 14.80% declared accepted.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a correlation between self-efficacy and student engagement in students at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Bener Meriah. This study uses quantitative research methods. The number of samples in this study were 53 students. This study was compiled based on the Likert scale method using a self-efficacy scale, namely level, strength and generality. and the student engagement scale, namely behavior engagement, emotional engagement and cognitive engagement. The data analysis technique in this study used the Pearson product moment correlation technique. The results of data analysis show a correlation coefficient where r_xy = 0.998 with a significant p = 0.000 0.050. This means that the proposed hypothesis is accepted. It is assumed that the more positive self-efficacy for students, the higher student engagement will be, or vice versa, the more negative self-efficacy for students, the lower the level of student engagement for students at the school. From the results of this analysis, it is known that the self-efficacy of students at MAN 2 Bener Meriah is high (empirical mean = 109.53 hypothetical mean = 77.5). The coefficient of determination was found to be r^2 = 0.997. This shows that self-efficacy contributes to student engagement 99.7%

Abstract

This study aims to determine empirically the effect of job training on work productivity of employees of PT. PLN (Persero) implementing unit for customer service (UP3) Medan. The research used is quantitative experimental method One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The subjects in this study were all employees of PT. PLN (Persero) Customer Service Implementation Unit (UP3) Medan, as many as 60 employees. The results showed that between the average pretest and posttest work productivity of employees, the average pretest data was 164.42 and the posttest average was 271.47, there was a difference of 91.47, where the average posttest score was higher than the posttest score. pretest. The results of the One-Sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test analysis showed a significant value of 0.000 0.05. In accordance with the criteria if the significant value 0.05 means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Thus it can be concluded that by participating in job training can have an influence on the results of work productivity on employees of PT. PLN (Persero) Customer Service Implementation Unit (UP3) Medan. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the work productivity of employees who take job training is better than the results of work productivity of employees who do not take job training.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the relationship between the quality of work life and job satisfaction of employees at Nusanet. The sample to be used in this study amounted to 68 employees of Nusanet Medan. Data collection was carried out using a Likert scale model through two variables, namely quality of work life and job satisfaction. Data analysis using product moment correlation technique. The results of this study indicate that the quality of work life has a significant positive relationship with the job satisfaction of the employees of Nusanet Medan. The results of the linearity test with the acquisition of a different F of 10,726 with a different P value of 0.002 0.05 and the results of the correlation analysis of R product moment with the acquisition of an Rxy coefficient value of 0.367 and a P of 0.002 0.01 which also indicates that the higher the quality of work life obtained, the job satisfaction will also be higher. The quality of work life has a contribution to job satisfaction of 13.5% which is indicated by the value of the determinant coefficient (R2) of 0.135. The quality of work life and job satisfaction of Nusanet Medan employees is currently still low.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between self-concept and interpersonal communication on students at the Paul Theological School of Medan. This study uses a quantitative approach with product moment correlation test. The variables in this study are self-concept and interpersonal communication. The population of this study amounted to 80 people and the research sample also amounted to 80 students of the Paul Theological School of Medan Forces 2016-2018. The data collection technique used in this study used a questionnaire with a Likert scale. The results of the validity test showed that the self-concept variable contained 5 invalid statements and 35 valid statements, while the interpersonal communication variable contained 5 invalid statements and 41 valid statements. Based on the results of testing the condition of self-concept, the results show that the level of self-concept is at a positive level and interpersonal communication variables are at a positive level. Based on the calculation of Product Moment Correlation, it is known that there is a significant positive relationship between Self-Concept and Interpersonal Communication, with (Rxy = 0.640; p= 0.000 0.050). From the results of this correlation, it can be stated that the hypothesis proposed in this study is accepted, namely the better the self-concept, the higher the Interpersonal Communication. The determinant correlation test (r^2) of the relationship above is = 0.410, this shows that interpersonal communication is influenced by self-concept by 41%. Thus, self-concept contributes to improving interpersonal communication.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences in Social Loafing behavior in terms of the Big Five Personality of psychology faculty students at Medan Area University. The problem was focused on Social Loafing behavior that occurs in 2018 2019 students. To approach this problem, the theoritical references from Myers Twenge and Cervone Pervin is used. The data was collected through google form and analyzed quantitatively. Subjects were 64 people, with a sampling technique, namely Accidental Sampling. The measuring instrument used in this research was the Social Loafing scale and the TIPI (Ten Item Personality Inventory) scale. Data analysis was performed using SPSS with the One Way Anova technique. This study concludes that there were significant differences in Social Loafing behavior (F = 9,284; Sig = 0.000 0.050) in terms of the Big Five Personalities, with Neuroticism has the highest mean (37.67) while Conscientiousness has the lowest mean (23,92).
